Indonesia kicked off the tournament with a brilliant victory in a warm-up match against hosts Bhutan on October 14. In that game, the players displayed strong discipline in bowling and fielding, limiting Bhutan to just 70 runs in 17.3 overs. The Indonesian batters responded calmly, chasing the target within 14.5 overs and securing a 6-wicket win. This victory signaled that the team’s strategy and mentality are beginning to take shape, raising hopes that Indonesia can compete against more experienced teams.
Several individuals stood out during the tournament. Ahmad Ramdoni led the batting lineup with a total of 99 runs from five matches, followed by I Ketut Edi Guna Artawan, who scored 81 runs with a strike rate of 87.10. Danilson Johanis Hawoe also caught attention with his 49 runs and an aggressive strike rate of 113.95, providing a crucial boost in the middle order. Although consistency remains a challenge, the players' performances suggest that the national team is building a solid foundation for future development.
